The Solar Homes Program offers rebates of up to $1,400 for eligible Victorians who install solar panel (PV) systems. Whether you’re a homeowner or a business owner, this program aims to make solar energy more accessible and affordable. Here’s how it works:

Eligibility

  • You must be the owner-occupier of an existing property or the owner of a home under construction
  • The combined household taxable income of all owners should be less than $210,000 per year
  • The property value must be under $3 million (or under $3 million upon completion for homes under construction)
  • Your property address should not have previously received a solar panel rebate under this program
  • The property should not have had a solar panel system installed in the last 10 years

Eligibility

  • In addition to the rebate, eligible Victorians can apply for an interest-free loan equivalent to the rebate amount
  • The loan is repaid over four years or can be paid off sooner in a lump sum
